The company has been ramping up its sales of the hydraulic hammers — made by South Korea’s Daemo Engineering — for about 12 months, evaluating the range before the national release.

Onetrak Managing Director David Hazell took time out to tell TradeEarthmovers.com.au about the range in the video above.

“We sought to find a quality product that we could bring into the Australian market that represented great value for money,” Hazell says. “The Alicon range does that very well.

“It’s certainly not the cheapest rock breaker on the market, but it’s by no means the dearest. We find that it has the same quality and features of some of the main brands but it comes in at a much more affordable price.”

Hazell says the rock breakers mainly suit excavators from 1 tonne up to 80 tonnes, with the 5-tonne Alicon B50 being the most popular.

Onetrak has sold about 50 of the rock breakers to a variety of customers, from residential and domestic users to gas-line and infrastructure contactors and even quarry operators and civil contactors at the larger end of the market.

The company is based in Dandenong, Victoria, and has branches in Brighton, Tasmania, in Tumut, New South Wales, and in Bunbury, Western Australia — plus parts and service support in Mt Gambier, South Australia.

Besides Alicon, Onetrak’s primary brands are Hyundai Construction Equipment Tigercat forestry equipment, Rotobec forestry and scrap-handling attachments and Berco undercarriage and components for crawler excavators.
