Metso LT125 mobile crusher arrives Down Under
The Metso LT125 mobile crusher, a heavy-duty unit designed for primary crushing in quarry operations, is now available in Australia via local machinery distributor Tutt Bryant Equipment.
Fitted with a Nordberg C125 crusher and a B13-44-2V feeder with 17m hopper, the LT125 can be operated as a stand-alone unit or combined with other LT units as part of a multi-stage operation, giving a high degree of versatility and helping reduce the need for truck haulage.
Further highlighting the LT125’s transportability is the availability of a ‘split’ version equipped with hydraulic legs for dismantling the crusher and feeder units. This allows the unit to be set up within a few hours without the need for a crane.
The LT125 has a number of crusher options including an automatic lubrication unit and hydraulic setting adjustments. The crusher’s material level control is aided by an infra-red sensor in the crusher cavity. Feeder options for the LT125 include remote feed control with main and feeder control panels.
The unit is powered by a Caterpillar Tier 3 C13 engine and features a H14-13 main conveyor.
In addition, the LT125 features a range of ancillary options. A boom and hammer are available for breaking oversized material (with the option of either electric or remote radio control), as well as an interlocking cable for a secondary unit. A hydraulic power take-off allows auxiliary hydraulic equipment to be connected and a bulkhead for an access ramp for a wheel loader is also available. Other options include a water-spraying system for dust control and specialised colours for a customised look.
The big crusher weighs in at 86 tonnes, is 14.4m long, 3.5m wide and 3.9m high. Tutt Bryant Equipment has called the LT125 the "ultimate primary crusher for contracting purposes".
In September, Tutt Bryant announced the availability of the Metso Lokotrack LT220D, a track-mounted plant that combines a cone crusher and a screen onto the same chassis.
