The Indian off-highway tyre giant — whose research and development team designs, develops and produces 60-80 new tyre types every year — says the all-steel radial Earthmax SR 31 provides a high level of strength and stability due to its multi-ply steel belt design.

Cut- and heat-resistant tread compounds featured on the Earthmax SR 31 ensure a long product life-cycle, BKT says, while the multi-layer steel belts, along with the non-directional rigid block pattern, stand for excellent traction and manoeuvrability.

Earthmoving equipment will also benefit from the tire’s radial casing structure, which BKT says will reduce rolling resistance, improve fuel economy and lower operating costs.

The Bauma 2016 trade fair in Munich, Germany, is the largest trade fair in the world for construction, building and mining machinery and vehicles. This year there are more than 3,400 exhibitors and represented companies.

Headquartered in Mumbai, India, BKT was founded in 1987 and is a leader in the off-highway tyre industry, selling its products to 130 countries worldwide and commanding a 6 percent market share.

The company says it is focused on specialist segments such as agricultural, construction and industrial vehicles as well as earthmoving, port and mining, ATV and gardening applications.

The Earthmax SR 31 tyre will be displayed in size 23.5 R 25 at the BTK Stand 225, Hall A6  from April 11-17.
