Takeuchi has announced the Australian release of the TL12V-2, its first vertical lift compact track loader.

The machine weighs in at just under 6 tonnes, and Takeuchi claims it’s the largest and most powerful machine in its class. The TL12V-2 represents a 45 percent increase in operating capacity over the TL12 radial lift model.

The vertical lift loader is powered by a Kubota 81.8kW 3.8-litre diesel engine configured to meet US Tier 4/EU Stage IV emissions requirements. The tracks have been designed to be as quiet as possible, using a tread pattern that reduces noise and vibration while also increasing stability. Stability is further enhanced by a larger 1.71m track length.

As a vertical lift loader, the machine needs to be stronger than your average compact loader and Takeuchi says this strength comes from reinforced integrated cross members and a fully-welded frame.

The TL12V-2 is compatible with a number of attachments including dirt buckets, dozer blades, pallet forks and even forestry mulchers. An electrical harness running down the loader’s frame allows electric attachments like tilting dozer blades or profilers to be used. A hydraulic quick-hitch is standard and allows attachments to be changed quickly and safely from inside the cab.

The cab itself has also received an overhaul, starting with an increase in width of 77mm. The cab has full ROPS/FOPS guarding, is fully air-conditioned, has a high-backed air-suspension seat and a 5.7-inch colour LCD monitor that displays machine information and is connected to the rear camera.

The TL12V-2 can be connected to Takeuchi’s fleet management system (TFM) which allows remote monitoring of the machine to ensure productivity and to proactively diagnose problems to minimise downtime.
