Bobcat US announces V519 telehandler
Bobcat’s new V519 VersaHANDLER telehandler just launched in the US is a compact machine with a two-stage boom and a reach of more than 3m.
The telehandler, which Bobcat refers to as a telescopic tool-handler, is a versatile machine that is suited to a range of industries due to its compatibility with various attachments.
Commonly found in agriculture, construction and landscaping the V519 uses Bobcat’s proprietary ‘Bob-Tach’ quick-hitch system that allows compatible attachments to be changed quickly.
Attachments available for the Bobcat V519 include pallet forks, rock buckets, construction buckets, root grapples, bale forks and truss brooms.
The V519 telehandler has been designed with a two-speed hydrostatic drive and is suited to operating standard or hydraulic attachments.
Driven by a 55.2kW Tier 4-compliant Bobcat D34 diesel engine, the loader uses a high-pressure common-rail fuel system and a diesel oxidation catalyst. There is also an ‘economy mode’ setting that reduces fuel consumption in applications requiring less power, such as light grading.
The machine has an operating weight of just under 5 tonnes (4,990kg) and a footprint of just 2,083mm x 2,083mm, making it suitable for use on cramped, awkward urban building sites.
The VersaHANDLER has a fully-enclosed operators cab with heating and air-conditioning, and is fully sealed to minimise dirt and dust inside the operating area. A fully adjustable air-suspension seat and adjustable steering wheel column enhance operator comfort so the machine can be used for long periods.
A side engine cover and rear access panel on the machine provide access to daily maintenance points including engine oil and fuel filters, dipstick and drain, air cleaner, alternator, starter motor and battery.
There are also a range of optional extras for the V519 including an engine block heater kit, fire extinguisher kit, reversing fan and a boom-mounted work lighting kit.
