The DG series gensets run on a wide range of gaseous fuels including natural gas, biogas from landfills, propane and alternative fuels, and are available with a heavy-duty noise-cancelling enclosure to dampen sound levels and protect the unit from exposure to the elements.

Cat is offering seven three-phase models ranging from 30kW to 150kW and five single-phase models ranging from 30kW to 100kW. The generators have been matched to the performance and output characteristics of Cat engines.

The generators are controlled by an EMCP 4 controller which can be expanded with the addition of a Modbus RTU communication port, remote annunciator module or expansion I/O module to allow the EMCP 4 system to be configured to meet site-specific design requirements.

The DG series’ cooling system is designed to operate in ambient temperatures of up to 50 degrees Celsius (good for Australian conditions) and has a radiator and cooling fans. The generators meet the international standard ISO 8528-5 requirements for generator sets.

A 12-volt starting motor gets the DG models up and running, and the generator set has charging batteries with rack and cables.

Cat says the generators are available with Extended Service Coverage (ESC) which offers customers protection against unexpected repair bills and a hedge against rising parts and labour costs by providing parts and labour reimbursement for parts covered under the agreement.
