Position Partners to distribute Zoller and Frohlich scanners

Geospational and positioning company Position Partners has announced a distribution agreement with German electrical engineering firm Zoller and Frohlich (Z+F) to supply the latter’s products to the Australian market.

Z+F manufacture 3D laser scanners, designed for use in a wide range of surveying applications in construction, mining, landscaping and even forensic investigation.

Position Partners will be offering the Z+F Imager 5010 series as well as the new Imager 5016 – a compact scanner that Z+F says can deliver more than one million points of data per second up to distances of 360 metres.

“Z+F has a reputation for delivering industry-leading solutions that are innovative, reliable and highly accurate,” Position Partners CEO Martin Nix says.

“We are delighted to partner with a company that shares our passion for pioneering a better way and we look forward to offering customers the very best when it comes to 3D laser scanning technology that is backed by our extensive technical expertise and local support,” Nix says.

Position Partners says staff will travel to Z+F’s headquarters in Germany to be trained in the scanners’ use to enable comprehensive customer support back in Australia. Z+F will also be assisting Position Partners in establishing a calibration facility in Australia to reduce service turnaround times.

“We welcome this new reseller agreement with Position Partners, a company with a large network of offices to support customers at a local level,” Z+F founding partner Christopher Frohlich says.

“We look forward to a successful partnership and offering well supported, reliable instruments to the surveying, engineering, construction and mining industries.”
