Gehl has launched the 750 articulated wheel loader – the company’s largest model – in Australia and New Zealand.
Gehl says that, at 55kW, the 750 represents the company’s expansion into the 40-60kW size class.
That power comes from a Tier 4 Deutz diesel engine which uses a diesel oxidation catalyst after-treatment system, meaning users can choose their preferred emissions system.
Being an articulated loader, the 750 can turn at angles up to 45 degrees and oscillate up to 10 degrees thanks to a heavy-duty articulation joint. The bucket and tyres follow a constant turning radius, so the rear tyres follow the path of the front tyres.
An open ROPS canopy is standard on the 750, with a complete cabin enclosure also available. The operator is positioned above the load, which gives 360 degree visibility and a clear view of the attachment.
A single multi-function joystick controls the lift arm, bucket, float, travel direction, diff lock and auxiliary hydraulic functions.
“Beyond the mere size increase, operators will notice many ergonomic enhancements,” Gehl product manager Nathan Ryan says.
“We’ve completely redesigned this cab to allow for improved visibility, low effort pilot controls, a pedal-free flat floor and additional steering and seat adjustments.”
The loader weighs in at 4.8 tonnes in canopy configuration and 5 tonnes with a full cab.
The 750 features Z-bar type linkage, which allows for mechanical self-levelling action in both up and down directions.
The 750 loader can accommodate a range of attachments and has a proportional auxiliary hydraulic system as standard, operated via a roller switch on the joystick. Gehl is offering compatible attachments including augers, brooms, bale forks, rock rakes and spreaders.
Switching attachments on the 750 has been streamlined with the two auxiliary hydraulic lines connecting to the attachment through flat-faced couplers.
The 750 is also available with a three-auxiliary-circuit option to the front and rear of the machine, which includes high-flow for larger attachments.
