Representatives from MB Crusher, along with management from MB’s German branch MB Deustchland, accepted the award during a gala evening at the show on May 9.

As the name suggests, the BF80.3 crusher bucket is used to process and stockpile inert excess materials on site, using its Hardox steel jaws to turn them into reusable or sellable construction aggregate in sizes ranging from 15mm to 135mm.

The bucket is particularly suited to quarries, demolition, recycling, excavation, mining and road works.

The BF80.3 has been engineered to work with diggers weighing 18.5 tonnes and above, with the unit itself weighing in at three tonnes. The bucket has a capacity of 0.7 square metres and MB says it can produce up to 34 square metres of material per hour.

The bucket’s dimensions are 1200mm x 1300mm x 1400mm with the crusher jaws opening up to 840mm x 510mm. The bucket attaches to the excavator through either a coupler supplied by MB or to a quick coupler unit.

MB says the BF80.3 saves time and money by allowing operators to collect and process materials on-site, without the need to transfer material to a truck, and then on to a different site. This is also safer as there is less opportunity for things to go wrong.

MB says it believes it was its high standards of durability, productivity, innovation and insight the appealed to the show judges and set the BF80.3 apart.
