Already well-established in the European and American markets, Combi Wear Parts is looking to expand its global footprint into Australia. Tutt Bryant will supply Combi’s C-Rex and ProClaw GET (ground engaging tools) systems.

The C-Rex system is designed for use in construction settings and is focused on user-friendliness and low-costs for the operator. The protective teeth have been lengthened and the proportion of wear material available has been maximised to save on maintenance costs.

The ProClaw GET range is suited to larger, more heavy-duty applications such as mining and quarrying. The ProClaws are engineered to retain maximum sharpness throughout the life of the tooth.

The ProClaws teeth are self-sharpening and have a low profile for maximum penetration. The teeth also have wear indicators that make it easy to know when the tooth needs to be replaced.

Both the C-Rex and ProClaw GET systems use a reusable hammerless locking mechanism to attach the teeth. The teeth are engineered in such a way that up to 70 percent of the weight of the tooth is used up before a replacement is needed.

The teeth are attached to the adapters on the bucket lip via a one-piece lock and can be tightened to a torque level of 100Nm. Ground-engaging teeth can be replaced quickly and easily without the need to remove the adapter.

Combi says the adaptors on both systems will go through more than 10 replacement teeth before needing to be replaced themselves.
