Kobelco Construction Machinery Australia is adding a range of the latest Tier 4 Final excavators to its lineup, but says customers will still have the option of purchasing Tier 3 machines.

Kobelco’s new Tier 4 Final excavators range from the 4.5-tonne SK45SRX-6E to the 52-tonne SK500LC-10 and also include the recently announced 13-tonne SK135SR-5.
The company says the Tier 4 models are the latest chapter in its long history of pioneering fuel-efficient technology.
“This new range of Tier 4 Final compliant excavators is the next step in our engineering evolution, and these machines meet the requirements of NSW EPA licensed businesses,” Kobelco general manager of sales and service Doug McQuinn says.
The discussion around emissions regulations in Australia is ongoing, and as such Kobelco says it will still be offering Tier 3 machines to those who prefer them.
“We anticipate increased demand in the Australian market for Tier 4 Final excavators,” McQuinn says
“But for customers who prefer Tier 3 machine technology, we’re still able to offer the market that option.”
