The world’s sixth-largest heavy equipment manufacturer is expanding its product range and dealer network in 2020

Sany Australia will release two new models in 2020, including the minimal-tail-swing version of the 15-tonne SY155U excavator as well as the zero-swing 8-tonne SY80U excavator.

The company, a division of the world’s sixth-largest heavy equipment manufacturer headquartered in Changsha, Hunan Province, China, says the new models will improve access and safety in tighter working situations.

The new eight-tonne model weighs in at 8,800kg and features a Yanmar 4TNV 98CT engine delivering 53.7 kW of rated power at 2,100 rpm and 72.7 kN of bucket digging force; while the SY155U runs an Isuzu AR-4JJ1XASC with 78.5 kW on tap at 2,000 rpm with an operating weight of 16,000kg and 103 kN of bucket digging force.

From February 2020, Sany Australia will also have available stock of its range of medium-size excavators, ranging from 7.5 tonne up to the 21 tonne, including the SY75, SY95, Y135 and the SY215, adding to the current range of mini-excavators.

The expanded range will be available from Ultro Plant and Equipment’s Pakenham location and will also be displayed for inspection at the National Diesel Dirt & Turf Expo to be held at Penrith Panthers from May 15-17.

Sany Australia says the machines are backed by Ultro’s full after-sales support, with the warranty period now increased to a standard of five years or 5,000 hours.

A new Sany Australia office and central parts warehouse is being established in Truganina, west of Melbourne.

In addition, an Ultro sales/service centre will be established in Sydney and along with resellers will service the east coast of Australia.
