Sunward launches mini excavator range

Sunward’s new range of mini excavators has arrived Down Under, with features for easy manoeuvring in tight spaces

With four new models, ranging in size from 1.9–8.8 tonnes, the team at Brisbane Mini Excavators (BME) says its new Sunward model lineup is sure to impress.

The new mini excavator range comprises the 1.9 tonne SWE18UF, the 3.8 tonne SWE35UF, the 6 tonne SWE60UF and the 8.8 tonne SWE90UF.

“We have been specialising in mini excavators for 25 years and are very excited to introduce a mini excavator that is competitive in today’s market, not only with an affordable price but with its quality and outstanding features too,” the company says.

All models have a new Yanmar or Kubota diesel engine that conforms to Stage 5 emissions standards, complete with a three-year factory warranty.

The units are easy to service, with filters and water tanks easily accessible and its centralised lubrication system makes daily greasing easier.

Other features available in SWE18UF include a LED working light and instrument display, a two post detachable FOPS and TOPS-certified canopy assembly and a high back adjustable suspension seat for driver comfort.

Sunward has built the 18 horsepower (13kW) SW18UF with factory-optioned dual auxiliary piping, an extra-long dipper arm and hydraulic hitch piping as standard, along with a as well as burst valve, a lockable fuel cap and a Stater isolator for safety and security.

The models come with a hydraulic pilot travelling control system, which allows both the breaker and boom swing to be controlled independently through side pedals.

A telescopic chassis allows the unit width to be adjusted from 990mm to 1,360mm for operation stability, and an auto shifting function allows for free walking under various working conditions.

A series of accessories are also available as options, including steel tracks, trenching and mud buckets, ripper tines, Digga Augers, a BME100 hydraulic rock breaker, mechanical rock grab and hydraulic hitch.

The SWE35UF comes with a 600mm bucket and 300mm rubber track

The Kubota-powered 24.8hp (18.5kW) SWE35UF comes with a 600mm bucket and 300mm rubber track as standard, as well as an enclosed air-conditioned cab with all the modern comforts you might expect in a modern excavator.

Its zero-tail swing and arm deviation is designed to work in narrow and complicated spaces – including near a wall foot, while its flat ground operation is conducted smoothly.

The excavator is equipped with a breaker pipeline as standard and auxiliary piping and
hydraulic quick hitch piping as options. The unit also comes with dual flow auxiliary hydraulics, a factory-installed case drain, factory burst valves and a hydraulic pilot type control system.

The Kubota-powered 48.9hp (36.5kW) SWE60UF comes with 400mm rubber tracks, a 1,600mm arm and a breaker and auxiliary piping as standard, with other options available, including a 180 degree tilting hitch.

It also comes with a 300mm bucket, 600mm GP bucket with teeth and a 1,500mm mud bucket, as well as burst valve protection and a hydraulic auto double locking quick hitch.

The Yanmar-powered 65hp (48.5kW) SWE90UF also comes with a 300mm and 450mm bucket, as well as a 750mm GP bucket and a 1,500mm mud bucket, along with burst valve protection and the hydraulic auto double locking quick hitch.

All units come with an 18cm LCD capacitive touch display screen with high brightness displays and WiFi connectivity.

Equipped with a three-year comprehensive warranty, the Sunward models are available now.
