Nissan Navara’s 2021 models launched

Styling, safety and technology are the main areas of upgrade in the newly released Nissan Navara models.

A new high-end model has also been introduced to the Navara line-up; known as the Pro-4X, it is available as a Dual Cab Pickup with manual or automatic transmission.

Navara’s range has been simplified to four grades and is available in single, king or dual cab styles and six-speed manual or seven-speed automatic options.

Nissan Australia managing director Stephen Lester says the entire range has received several improvements to make it the ‘toughest and smartest’ Navara released.

“With a rugged new design, a broad array of new Nissan Intelligent Mobility safety features as standard and increased capability on and off-road, this is definitely the toughest and smartest Nissan Navara yet,” he says.

“There is no more competitive ute market in the world than Australia and the latest Navara continues to build on a package that’s trusted and respected by owners across the country.”

Safety, styling and technological advancements have been made to the new Navara series.

All Navara cabins have a new 17cm Advanced Drive-Assist instrument cluster display, with a 20cm touchscreen display connecting to Apple and Android devices.

Seven airbags, Intelligent Forward Collision Warning and Intelligent Emergency Braking are standard across all models, as is trailer-sway control.

There has been a steering wheel redesign and seat trim upgrades while the Dual Cab Navara has gained an increased payload capacity to a minimum of 1 tonne.

Across the range, the engine is a 2.3 litre four-cylinder diesel, offered in both single and twin turbo, with twin turbo now available across more models.

The new entry-level Navara SL’s single turbo engine produces 120kW and 403Nm, while the twin turbo produces 140kW and 450Nm from as low as 1500rpm.

Navara’s range starts at $33,890 drive away and is now available at dealerships across Australia.
