Sandvik announces new three-deck doublescreen solution

Designed to be easy to change and built for a larger wear life, Sandvik’s new QA screen is built with the operator in mind.

The QA452 boasts a first-of its kind three-deck doublescreen technology

Sandvik Mobile Crushers and Screens has announced the latest release in its QA Series – the new QA452 screen.

The QA452 boasts a first-of its kind three-deck doublescreen technology, capable of outperforming traditional screens by up to 30 per cent for tailored rock processing applications.

The screen also features an independent screen angle adjustment feature and hydraulic screen separation, in addition to two triple deck inline screen boxes providing nine cubic metres of screening area.

Flexibility has been a core design focus for Sandvik on the QA452, with operators able to separate the primary screen to gain better access for maintenance and screen media changes.

A new oversize cross conveyer has been included to increase oversize material extraction. The cross conveyer can also be reversed, meaning the plant can function like a traditional two-deck screen with oversize and mid overs discharged together.

On the QA452, each screen deck makes use of Sandvik’s mesh tensioning system for faster screen mesh tensioning and removal to lessen the machine’s downtime.

Sandvik’s range of WX rubber media is also available and combines the high accuracy of wire screen and the durability of rubber. The result is a wear life that is ten times greater and up to 50 per cent faster installation times compared to wire meshing.

Equal size panels also mean the screen media is interchangeable between decks.

To better safeguard and protect operators, dust suppression spray bars, onboard water pump, safety pull cords and lighting mast are all included and fitted as standard on the QA452.

The screen comes with Sandvik’s My Fleet telemetry system and seven-year data subscription as standard including 24/7 fleet management, geo-fencing technology and remote support.

The QA452 also yields a lower environmental impact given its reduced fuel consumption, lower operating news and fewer emissions.
