RDO hits century with Deere delivery

RDO Equipment has chalked up its hundredth sale of forestry equipment in Australia

John Deere construction and forestry dealer RDO Equipment has raised the bar after having recently delivered its hundredth forestry machine in Australia.

The triple-digit milestone was achieved in September and has been hailed as a significant achievement for the dealer having only become Deere’s official construction and forestry equipment dealer partner for Australia (excluding WA) two years ago.

The hundredth unit – a 959MH Tracked Harvester – was delivered to Blackbutt Logging, taking its inventory of John Deere equipment to 14 forestry and construction machines.

The logging company is owned and operated by brothers Drew and Todd Reiser, who have continued their father’s legacy back in the 1980s when they began working with John Deere.

“We’ve never had any issues working with John Deere, and it’s been great working with the RDO Equipment team these past few years. They provide us with good, quality gear, that’s backed up with the support we need to keep our entire fleet running,” Drew says.

“The first machine my dad purchased from John Deere was a 450C Dozer in the 80s, and after some refurbishments, we still have it running in our fleet, which just shows that these products are built to last. It’s no surprise RDO has sold 100 forestry machines in such a short space of time.”

John Deere GM of Sales and Marketing – Forestry Equipment, Simon Shackleton, says the milestone for RDO Equipment is impressive.

“We’ve had nothing but positive feedback from customers about RDO Equipment. They have done well to establish themselves in the Australian market, and I commend them on this great achievement over such a short period of time,” Shackleton says.

“I want to also congratulate Blackbutt Logging on being part of this special milestone. It’s great to see RDO’s hundredth forestry machine sold to a long-standing family business, that has been working with John Deere machines since the beginning,” Simon said.

“With RDO Equipment, our customers have increased parts availability, and expanded coverage across the east coast of Australia, plus a team of expert service and parts technicians. It’s been a great working relationship, and as the forestry industry continues through this buoyant period, I’m looking forward to celebrating further milestones with RDO Equipment and our customers.”
