Distributed in Australia by CEA, vacuum excavator manufacturer Ring-O-Matic has extended its range to include the truck-mounted compact 275 VX model.
The 275 VX offers high power operation with a compact and practical design, featuring a 946L (250-gallon) spoil tank and 600CFM blower powered by a 31 horsepower Deutz diesel engine.
Fit to complete most vacuum excavation tasks, Ring-O-Mac’s new 275 VX is suitable for applications such as hydro excavation, waste clean-up, concrete slurry management, fence and utility post setting, micro-tunnelling, locating underground utilities and a range of cleaning tasks including treatment plants, dairy farms and storm drains.
The 275VX can be mounted to either trucks or trailer configurations while the heavy-duty frame, large axle capacity and 600CFM vacuum pump blowers offer operators an esteemed level of reliability and robustness capable of withstanding rugged conditions.
With a low profile, the excavator provides good visibility for operators and is also fitted with a premium silencer package to deliver minimal noise in high populated areas or confined spaces.
CEA underground product manager Scott O’Hare says the new model is ideal for the Australian market.
“Given its compact design, its suitable for a large range of applications across commercial and residential spaces, and while its more compact, the 275 VX doesn’t compromise on power making it the perfect choice for those considering the purchase of a trailer mounted vacuum excavator,” he says.
A reverse flow function comes standard with the machine for fast tank emptying while operators can also blow obstructions out of the vacuum hose and backflush filters during cleaning.
Controls for the 275 VX are located on the front curb side and feature a magnetic remote which can operate the machine from a distance.
Baghouse filtration includes a washable and reusable filter which is easily accessible for cleaning and maintenance while the machine’s rear door opens at 75 degrees – the widest opening in its class – which has also made cleaning the machine easier.
The first 275 VX truck-mounted excavators are expected to arrive in Australia later in 2021.
