Sandvik Mining launches mine exploration website

Leading mining equipment Sandvik Mining has ventured into storytelling by launching Minestories.com, a digital portal allowing users to explore mines around the world via articles, videos and photos.

The website aims to give its audience an insight into the world of mining –  from machines to methods; from milestones to miners.

Sandvik Mining says the content hub, formerly located at solidgroundmagazine.com has been redesigned with convenience and visual appeal in mind.

The company adds the website’s material is attractively presented and easy to find and share through social media, whether users are on a computer or browsing from a mobile device.

Sandvik Mining’s Marketing Communications/Brand Manager Jeanette Svensson says the portal is a mine of information about the industry.

“A new custom newsletter function now makes extracting your favourite content to share with colleagues even easier,” she adds.

Users can browse material by market area, industry segment or product group, or search for features, film clips or news stories by keyword.

“Solidgroundmagazine.com primarily featured the material from our twice-a-year customer magazine, Solid Ground,” Svensson says.

“Minestories.com will be updated regularly with much more fresh and online-only content.”

“If there’s a mining story to tell, chances are you ‘ll read about it here.”

The website is also published in several different languages to cater to some of the world’s major mining markets.

Languages available include Spanish, Portuguese, Chinese, Canadian French, Polish and Russian; which can be selected via a drop down menu on the website.
