Sany’s electric medium-sized excavator promises cost saving and convenient operations, along with low noise levels and high safety standards
Sany has launched its electric SY215E excavator in the Netherlands – the first Sany medium-sized electric excavator marketed outside China.
With a gross vehicle weight of 232,000kg, the SY215E features a maximum digging height of 9,600mm and a maximum digging depth of 6,255mm. It is available with different track size options, consisting of 600 mm, 700 mm, 800 mm and 900 mm.
The company says the launch event drew over 10 component suppliers. Including Leica Germany and approximately 250 customers.
Designed for the European market, Sany says the electric machine offers cost-saving, convenient operations, excellent performance and has high safety standards.
With a rated battery capacity of 422kW/h, the SY215E has a battery life of five to seven hours, which saves approximately A$34,642 (€21,560) compared to traditional excavators, Sany says.
Coupling a new cab design with the excavator’s electric operation, operators are provided with a low noise working environment for comfortable work.
Sany says its SY215E can remain stable at altitudes above 4000 metres, including in tunnels and small mines, while the high-power dual gun fast charge allows the machine to achieve a full charge in 70 minutes.
Also included on the electric excavator is a large HD touchscreen, fault self-diagnosis detection and online operating system upgrades to improve the machine’s performance.
A multi-level high-voltage safety design also ensures secure operation, Sany says.
