Volvo-SDLG machinery distributor CJD Equipment has announced the arrival of the new SDLG LG978 wheel loader which marks the brand’s entry into the quarry/materials handling loader market.
The LG978 features an operating weight of 23,500 kg and is equipped with a heavy duty 4.2 cubic metre GP bucket.
It also boasts a powerful 295hp Deutz turbocharged engine, a 4-speed “V” series full power shift transmission, fold out hydraulically driven cooling fan and European ROPS cab styling.
Servicing and parts will be available through CJD Equipment.
With the introduction of the new model, SDLG Australia/CJD Equipment now offers a complete range of wheel loaders with nine different models covering applications such as sand and soil yards, batch plants, agriculture, logging, recycling, material handling, quarries and general earth moving.
SDLG has been manufacturing wheel loaders in China since 1972 and the brand is currently sold in six continents over 38 countries.
In 2006, SDLG signed a cooperation agreement with Volvo to raise capital, increase production and integrate European style production.
Today, Volvo owns 70 per cent of SDLG.
