Shawx Manufacturing is a new name in the earthmoving components supply industry, created after the Titan Manufacturing business was purchased by Shawx early this year.
The company is owned and operated by Ken, Donna and Brett Shaw, who have a background in earthmoving, fitting and boiler-making. The family have worked for, and owned, businesses in the civil construction and earthmoving industry for over 30 years.
“We felt a need for the supply of quality earthmoving components with the backup of second-to-none customer service,” they say. “This opportunity came with the purchase of Titan Manufacturing.
“Although Titan Manufacturing has had a stronghold in the industry for the last 15 years we realised changes needed to be made and felt rebranding and a new attitude would allow us to offer quality products at an affordable rate with friendly service,” the family adds.
Many years of owning and operating a fleet of equipment throughout different parts of the industry has given the company the experience to know what works well in a quality attachment.
“With some minor adjustments to the design, we believe the new Shawx Manufacturing attachments will satisfy the industry,” they say. “We listen to the market, design, fabricate and engineer components to help the industry succeed in the toughest of markets.”
All components, right down to the hydraulic rams, are manufactured in the company’s workshop in Brisbane, creating jobs for locals and eliminating the need for customers to wait for overseas parts or components.
Shawx Manufacturing’s product suite include all types of quick hitches and buckets — heavy-duty and tilt, 4-in-1, skel and loader buckets — compaction wheels, rippers, grabs (hydraulic and stiff arm), rakes, tag trailers, floats and truck bodies.
“After many years of running our own equipment, we felt the need to establish a trade-in service whereby we encourage our clients to trade their old attachments for new,” the Shaws say. “This enables operators to increase productivity by using the latest attachments while reducing the overall outlay.”
The company has a fully equipped machine shop which allows it to repair attachments in-house. It also offers a custom CAD design service.
