Six years from the release of the successful SH210-5 excavator, Sumitomo has launched its new Dash 6 excavator series which includes the SH210-6 and SH210LC-6 models.
Sumitomo Australian distributor Tutt Bryant Equipment says on top of being “well-packaged excavators” like its predecessors, the new 20-tonne machines were given a multitude of added features that leads to improved fuel efficiency, productivity and safety performance.
Both models were installed with a new engine management system on the Isuzu Interim Tier 4 diesel engines which Tutt Bryant Equipment says delivers a ten per cent fuel reduction compared to the SH210-5 model.
Some added features which contribute to the series’ fuel-saving capabilities include an SSC Energy Saving System, a Power Save control function and an Auto Idle Shut down feature.
The introduction of a new 7 inch LCD colour monitor provides operators with necessary information including the ECO gauge, operating status as well as Sumitomo’s new G@NAV satellite remote monitoring function.
Tutt Bryant Equipment says all new SH210-6 models will come fully equipped with the new G@NAV satellite navigation system which allows owners to view and track their machines’ whereabouts and activity.
In addition, the system also operates as a diagnostic tool providing vital information such as fuel levels, fuel consumption rates and performance reports.
Other features that come standard with the new Dash 6 excavators include a ROPS cabin, FOPS level 2 head guard, 2 top cab spot lights, LCD monitor and a rear view camera.
