The biennial Construction and Mining Expo is set to make a comeback in 2014 at a new location - the Ascot Racecourse just minutes from the Perth CBD and domestic airport.
Organisers Exhibition and Trade Fairs (ETF) says the change was made following overwhelming visitor feedback from 2012 to have the venue closer to the CBD for accessibility and convenience.
The show was previously held at the Sandalford Estate in Swan Valley, Western Australia.
In addition to a new location, ETF says there will be a number of new features next year, such as the Tradie’s Pavilion and Late Night Thursday.
The Tradie’s Pavilion, according to ETF, is a dedicated area featuring high quality brands at great prices where tradies can find the tools, equipment and machinery that they will need and want.
Late Night Thursday offers extended visiting hours to the show, predominantly catering to the 9am-5pm corporate crowd. In addition to the hours, there will also be a networking function providing visitors an opportunity to interact with the big players in the construction and mining business.
An exciting exhibitor line-up awaits visitors this year, including names such as Hitachi, DM Breaker Equipment, CJD Equipment, Perma Composites Pty Ltd, Molytec, Heliflite and Oilvac Australia.
The expo is run by the ETF in partnership with the Construction & Mining Equipment Industry Group (CMEIG) WA and is set to run from April 9-11, 2014.
Held since 2006, the event is the only expo of its type in WA and aims to attract over 4000 visitors and buyers from all aspects of the construction and mining industry such as state and federal government; quarrying; trenching and ultilities; waste and recycling; landscaping; trucking and hauling etc.
CME 2014 is free to attend but registration for entry is essential through CME’s website.
