Waste and Recycling Expo preparing for Melbourne comeback

Australia’s largest commercial event for the waste and recycling industry, the Australasian Waste and Recycling Expo (AWRE) will be making a return this year at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre.

The event, now entering its fourth year, will run from November 19-20, 2013.

AWRE will be held on the heels of the Planet Ark National Recycling Week which commenced on November 11.

The show attracted 1400 visitors last year and according to the organisers, Diversified Exhibitions, the expo presents an opportunity for those working in the industry to showcase and witness the latest innovations, network with key waste & recycling decision makers and attend high quality practical waste & recycling management seminars and workshops on key topics.

Some of the highlights of this year’s show include a two-day seminar program, Innovation Product Awards, Innovative Council Awards, Alternative Waste Technology Pavilion and the E-Waste Zone.

Prominent construction machinery names heavily involved within the waste and recycling industry such as Liebherr Australia, Vermeer and Toyota Materials Handling will be exhibiting at the expo.

The AWRE is supported by key waste & recycling industry associations and figures such as State Minister for Environment and Climate Change Ryan Smith, Sustainability Victoria, Department of Environment and Primary Industries and EPA Victoria.

Admission to the event is free but registration is essential.
